Sizzlin' Swan : Neon Colors

Blake Lively                                  Ciara                             Cameron Diaz                        Rachel Bilson

Jessica Simpson                    Jennifer Hudson                            Whitney Port

Vanessa Hudgens                             Sarah Jessica Parker                              Diane Kruger

Don't run scared! This trend is actually much more wearable than you think. Any color that has an intense pigment to it- think bright turquoise- is actually a universally flattering color that looks smashing on all types of lovely ladies. All the colors in the neon spectrum have that high level of pigmentation in common, so they're flattering to everyone.

Need more proof? Let us direct your attention to the very different coloring of all the celebrities pictured above. Skin tones range from fair to dark; hair color from blonde to black.  But you have to admit, they all look equally fabulous! Of course, having your own personal stylist wouldn't hurt. Just consider the ladies of Black Swan Closette yours :)

The sad part about this neon trend is that it does have a shelf life- unless you're flouncing about town attending black tie events all year long (in which case, can we be friends?), this is basically a summer only trend. The exception would be cocktail and evening wear, which really can be done in neons all year long- just be prepared to be the center of attention! If using these colors in an everyday wardrobe, plan to make the cut right after Labor Day.

Blazer by Stella McCartney  Blouse from Black Swan Closette SPants by Talbots    Laptop Case by Korchmar   Heels by Ted Baker

Take advantage of summer and make a statement in an all white suit- which pops just the right amount next to your neons. The trick to this sleek outfit is to pick a blouse that will look equally fab peeking out from under a jacket as it will with just the pants. Normally, interesting under-jacket pickings are few and far between, but this flirty blouse piques interest with both the neon color and the flirty ruffled neckline. Detailing on the bust line accentuates a smaller bustline, yet the V on this particular blouse is high enough to still feel demure for the larger busted ladies. The stretch fabric works with your curves, not against them. Boot cut pants will always be classic and chic, and the tan color of these leather heels and laptop bag will always- ALWAYS- look crisp when paired with white.  Sure shot office outfit that will make you feel as cool as you look.

Tee from Black Swan Closette    Skirt by WiNK    Heels by Nine West   Clutch by L.A.M.B.

Take it to the streets in this downtown inspired outfit. Heathering on the white tee gives it a worn in vibe; while the swinginess of it adds some flair. Besides, white is one of the only colors you really can wear with this skirt, which is wild yet girly all at once. Interesting juxtaposition that is dead on for Summer 2010. Keep your heels neutral yet strappy; these are two toned, mirroring the dimension of the strippy striped skirt. Platforms never hurt anyone.... much. A bold clutch from in neon is really all you need for storage, because really, how many items do you need to bring when stepping out for that much summer fun?
